I’m not sure how, but in the past month or two, I’ve managed to lose weight. Again. I really don’t get this because I’ve been slacking off and only going to the gym about once a week. And when I do, I tend to take it easy and not push myself very hard. I’ve been eating at food courts a lot since I have to grab something fairly quick between work and rehearsal. I don’t even make the healthiest choices either - sometimes I’ll go for burger and fries or a teriyaki plate drenched in sauce. And last week, I ate a lot of cake, cookies and pie because there happened to be a ton of birthdays.
And yet, I’ve lost eight pounds.
This morning, I put on a pair of lululemon pants that used to be a bit tight at the waist, but today they were slipping off me. I kept having to pull them up to stop myself from walking all over it. I really should have worn a belt. It sucks because I already have enough trouble finding clothes small enough to fit me. Gah!
Weight gain is a lot like weight loss: it’s hard, and it’s gradual.
Keep in mind that lots of food, and lots of bad food, doesn’t necessarily help you gain weight. It won’t help people lose weight, but that doesn’t mean that it will help you gain weight (it’s not a scale — har har).
Check at your gym if they have a nutritionist available, or can recommend one. Going to the gym will help you build muscle, but you have to give your body the right building blocks to make muscles.
Fyi, I’ve been changing my nutrition since about May, and I’ve lost over 20 lbs so far, without doing much more than natural exercise. That’s how important it is to eat right.
I would say that continue what you’re doing! You must be doing something to lose weight an if you don’t feel hungry then you are getting to your natural weight so I think keep doing what you’re doing!
